Is This What We’ve Come To? Teasing Out Of Jealousy?
This is a video from the LA New Moon Premiere last night.
This is Courtney, and she won a competition to be kind of a ‘roving reporter’ on the red carpet after she wrote an essay dealing with how Twilight / New Moon and the cast have helped change her life and why they mean so much to her.
As you can imagine, she would have been so excited and overwhelmed and considering they would have only had a short window of time to talk to the cast esp Robert Pattinson, I thought she did amazingly well.
While it probably would have been better for her to say what she did to him away from the camera, this probably wasn’t possible.
But looking at the comments left on the youtube video….honestly I am so hurt and angry on her behalf. What is it about the internet coupled with jealousy that turns people into complete monsters?
Making fun of her appearance and calling her out for telling her story? It just completely boggles my mind. You don’t have to agree with what she said, what she wore, who she is etc ad nauseum.
But for whatever reason, her story was the one that touched the judges enough to earn her the chance to be standing there, and the way she handled herself is to be admired.
Maybe I’m just mad because it mirrors some of the comments I have had too about what I’m trying to do. I know that you can never properly convey your true intentions to people, especially over the internet. But comments about how people look and doubting their experiences?
I just don’t understand it at all.
people are a-holes. (fullstop!!) the ones whinging were just jealous that she got to do it and you can almost guarantee that they are also the ones whinging about the fact that magazines only use skinny models and not normal people, so they are in fact stinkin hypocrites. i watched it (missed her interview tho – TOTALLY JEALOUS) and the tweets were really bad. i agree. where’s the love people!!!!!!?????
